A cycle path in a class of its own

Cycle 270 km or 310 km along the Salzach and Saalach rivers

The Tauern Cycle Path - from the Krimml Waterfalls to the Mozart City of Salzburg and on to Passau - is a must for every cycling enthusiast. It is one of the most popular and beautiful cycle routes in Europe.

Not without reason: there are unique sights to see, extraordinary places to enjoy and plenty of destinations to visit. The 380-metre-high Krimml Waterfalls alone are among the superlatives in the province of Salzburg. Not to mention the Ice Caves, Hohenwerfen Castle, the Hallein Salt Worlds and the UNESCO World Heritage City of Salzburg. So it's worth taking a break now and again.
