The Guest Mobility Ticket is a ticket for all overnight guests in the federal state of Salzburg. It is valid for all public transport in Salzburg (except steam trains, special trains, and night buses) during your stay in Piesendorf and Niedernsill.
The Guest Mobility Ticket is available from 1st May 2025. It is valid for your entire stay, including your arrival and departure day, and is available all year round.
Good to know: The ticket also covers arrival and departure by rail-based public transport. This means you can benefit from this service right from the start of your journey and travel conveniently by train to your accommodation.
You will receive the Guest Mobility Ticket when you arrive at your accommodation. After your host registers your details and those of your fellow travelers, you'll get the ticket either digitally on your smartphone (an email address is required for this) or as a physical card.
You can use regional buses, regional trains and long-distance trains (within Salzburg) as well as the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn train between Zell am See and Krimml free of charge. Steam trains, special trains, and night buses are not included.

No, the Guest Mobility Ticket cannot be purchaed. It is only available for overnight guests staying in accommodation in Salzburg.
There is a mobility fee for the Guest Mobility Ticket, added to the local tourist tax:
- From 1st May 2025 to 30th April 2027: € 0.50 per person per night (aged 15 and older)
- From 1st May 2027: € 1.10 per person per night (aged 15 and older)
- Children unter 15 do not pay the mobility fee but can still use the services.
Children receive the Guest Mobility Ticket from the age of 6. However, the mobility fee is only payable from the age of 15.
Yes, groups must always be registered in advance and seat reservations are possible even without a ticket. However, reservations are subject to a fee depending on the transport company.
Yes, you can also travel for free (per person one dog) with the Guest Mobility Ticket. Please follow the transport rules of the respective operators.
Bikes can be taken on trains, as well as on the Pinzgauer and Salzburger Lokalbahn train, for a fee. The driver decides if bikes can be taken, and it is usually recommended to make a reservation in advance for organizational reasons.
The Guest Mobility Ticket includes only selected lines that go beyond Salzburg. For trips outside Salzburg, you only pay for the extra zones.
