Sightseeing in Piesendorf and Niedernsill

Artistic treasure

Whilst undergoing renovation, some priceless mural paintings were uncovered in the St Michaels chapel in the parish church in Piesendorf.

The painted inscription is clearly signed with the name "Michael", the date is sometime in the 13th Century with only the first 3 figures readable as 143?. The mural paintings are surrounded by decorative template frameworks.
