With the Pinzgauer local train to the winter fun

The small train between Zell am See and Krimml (54 km) brings cross-country skiers and winter hikers comfortably to the marvellous places, trails and winter hiking trails of the Salzach valley: in one direction you go comfortably by train and back sporty with the cross-country skiing, skating or walking.


Up to three people can enjoy unlimited rail travel between Zell am See and Krimml on all weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) for just € 23.00.

On state holidays this special ticket is available for just € 17.00.


Journey with the Pinzgauer local train to the Tauern Spa Kaprun (stop Fürth-Kaprun). If you buy your ticket on the train, you will get an hour's visit to the spa for free.


With the Pinzgauer local train you can reach the top ski destinations of the region without stress and traffic jams, the ski pass serves as your tickte (valid only for skiers traveling to and from the respective ski area).

  • Schmittenhöhe Zell am See (stop Areitbahn) valid from Uttendorf Stubachtal or Zell am See
  • Panoramabahn Kitzbüheler Alpen Hollersbach (stop Hollersbach Panoramabahn) valid from Uttendorf Stubachtal or Sulzbachtäler
  • Wildkogelbahnen Bramberg (stop Bramberg) valid from Uttendorf Stubachtal or Krimml

For the first journey to the lifts, ski or toboggan equipment is also accepted as a ticket. When using cross-area ski passes or season tickets, e.g. Salzburg Super Ski Card, free travel is only valid for the arrival or departure of the actually visited ski area.
