The Tourism Association Piesendorf Niedernsill is committed to making its websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Barrier-Free Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act - WZG BGBl. I. Nr. 59/2019 idgF) as amended. 

This accessibility statement applies to all websites and mobile applications of the Tourism Assocation Piesendorf Niedernsill.  

Compliance Status 

These websites and mobile applications are partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below. 

Non-accessible Content 

Die nachstehend aufgeführten Inhalte sind aus den folgenden Gründen nicht barrierefrei: 

a. Non-compliance with accessibility regulations 

• Missing alternative text on linked images: Some linked images lack descriptive alternative text, which makes them inaccessible to users relying on screen readers.  

• Missing or incorrect language declarations: In some cases, the language is not correctly specified in the HTML tag, impairing automatic language detection by assistive technologies.  

• Clickable elements without visible or audible content are occasionally present.  

• Insufficient contrast between text and background reduces readability, particularly for users with visual impairments.  

• Repeated or inadequate alternative texts, e.g. identical alt text for different images or overly long descriptions.  

• Skipped heading levels: The logical heading structure is not always maintained.  

• Redundant links and title texts that repeat unnecessarily without added value.  

• Use of "access keys": These may interfere with assistive technologies.  

• Justified text: Justified alignment may lead to reduced readability at low resolutions or when zoomed in.  

We are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. In addition, we are already striving to implement WCAG 2.2, Conformance Level AA in future updates.  

b. Disproportionate burden

• Due to organisational and financial constraints, it is currently not possible to make older PDF and Office documents fully accessible. Furthermore, we are unable to provide sign language versions for videos.  

c. Content not covered by applicable legislation 

• The website contains older documents and content that are not accessible and were published before 28 June 2025. These are exempt from the legal accessibility requirements, and no substantial modifications are currently planned. 

• The website also includes third-party content that is neither developed nor funded nor under the control of the Tourism Association Piesendorf Niedernsill. For such third-party content, no statements can be made regarding compliance with accessibility requirements, and they are also exempt.  

• This includes, for example, TOSC5 content (event, infrastructure and accommodation views) provided by feratel media technologie AG. Their accessibility statement is available via this link. Likewise, tours and outdoor content provided by outdooractive fall under this category. Their accessibility statement is available via this link. These companies are responsible for the accessibility of their services and aim to make them as accessible as possible.
