INCENSE KNOWLEDGE IN THE FARMHOUSE PARLOUR
December 2026 to April 2027 - Piesendorf
Everything has its time and its story. During this introduction to traditional incense knowledge, you will learn why people used plants for burning incense in the past and what this custom meant to them. In the cosy farmhouse parlour at Dietlgut, you will discover more about this tradition passed down through generations. Homemade punch is served along the way - a warming accompaniment to your time together.

SNOWSHOEING MEETS ART
8th January to 19th March 2027 - Schmittenhöhe Zell am See
On snowshoes, the guided hike takes you from the Schmittenhöhe along the Höhenpromenade towards Sonnkogel. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the snow-covered mountains and Lake Zell. The destination is the Schrambachkopf and the artwork "Opfertisch oder ein Halleluja". Afterwards, the group continues down to Sonnkogel.

WASENMOOS - VIEWS OF THE HOHE TAUERN
1st January to 2nd April 2027 - Mittersill
Starting at the viewing platform, this snowshoe hike takes you into the winter landscape of Wasenmoos. The route leads across snow-covered meadows and fields, with views of the Hohe Tauern opening up along the way. In the nearby raised bog and winter forest, you can also keep an eye out for animal tracks in the snow.

PRIMEVAL FOREST IN WINTER
1st January to 2nd April 2027 - Rauris
This snowshoe hike takes you through the Rauris forest, past old trees and snow-covered ponds. Together with a National Park Ranger, you'll explore the forest in winter. At the edge of the forest, views open up across the alpine meadows and surrounding peaks. The route continues to the Naturfreundehaus Kolm Saigurn, where you can stop for refreshments. Depending on snow conditions, you'll return to the starting point either by toboggan or on foot.

From mid-March, tobogganing back to the car park is no longer possible due to the opening of the toll road. Participants therefore travel in their own cars, sharing vehicles where possible, up to the starting point at Lenzanger. |
WILDLIFE WATCHING at the Habachtal winter feeding site
4th January to 26th February 2027 - Bramberg am Wildkogel
How do red deer behave in winter, and what role does feeding play? On this excursion into Habachtal Valley, you'll learn more about the lives of red deer during the winter months. Together with a professional hunter, you'll first travel by tractor and trailer before continuing on foot to the observation hut. From there, a panoramic window offers views of red deer, hinds and young calves in a forest clearing. Along the way, you'll learn more about red deer and their winter feeding.
