KING OF THE SKIES

10th July to 4th September 2024 - Raurisertal valley

In 1986, the alpine region’s first bearded vulture was released in the Krumltal to reintroduce the “king of the skies”, once eradicated in our area. During the excursion through the romantic Krumltal, you’ll learn about the large birds of prey. At brief stops, spotting scopes are set up to scan the peaks for the birds. With a bit of luck, you can observe not only bearded vultures, but also griffon vultures, cinereous vultures, and golden eagles, among other wildlife.
