Archery Taster Course

May to mid-October 2024 - Niedernsill

Explore the world of archery with a course. Learn the basics of this thrilling sport from an experienced instructor and experience the joy of archery - fun for the whole family. 

A complete archery equipment set (including bow, arrows, quiver and armguard) will be provided. Step by step, you will be introduced to the art of archery to ensure you hit your target with confidence. After trying your hand at archery and enjoying it, you can explore the 3D archery course.

MOUNTAIN YOGA

3rd July to 4th September 2024 - Schmittenhöhe Zell am See

In the wonderful mountain air, surrounded by fragrant alpine meadows and mountain herbs, yoga instructor Monika Rauter trains strength, flexibility and balance. Through breathing exercises and meditation, body and mind are brought into harmony. Treat yourself to a relaxing break and experience the harmonious connection between nature and yoga.

The Hohe Tauern National Park encompasses many of Austria's most precious landscapes, from the majestic peak of the Grossvenediger in the west to the steppe-like slopes in the east. Meet and join the people who protect our National Park. Learn more about the natural treasures of the National Park and how you can help preserve them for future generations.

SULZBACHT√ĄLER WILDERNESS AREA

10th July to 4th September 2024 - Neukirchen

Discover the untouched beauty of the Sulzbacht√§ler wilderness area. Initially, the journey begins with the National Park bus to Abichlalm, where the tour start. The path winds through a sparse larch forest to Aschamalm. From here, you‚Äôll explore off-trail into the heart of the Sulzbacht√§ler wilderness area to the impressive Untersulzbachkees glacier. The hike retraces the same route back. Experience the pristine nature of this untouched landscape, guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

KING OF THE SKIES

10th July to 4th September 2024 - Raurisertal valley

In 1986, the alpine region‚Äôs first bearded vulture was released in the Krumltal to reintroduce the ‚Äúking of the skies‚ÄĚ, once eradicated in our area. During the excursion through the romantic Krumltal, you‚Äôll learn about the large birds of prey. At brief stops, spotting scopes are set up to scan the peaks for the birds. With a bit of luck, you can observe not only bearded vultures, but also griffon vultures, cinereous vultures, and golden eagles, among other wildlife.

ADVENTURE HIKE K√ĄFERTAL

10th July to 4th September 2024 - Fusch Ferleiten

Scenic landscape framed by three-thousand-meter peaks ‚Äď Along a well-developed forest road, the tour leads from the Tauernhaus to the picturesque K√§fertal, situated below the ‚ÄúGro√ües Wiesbachhorn‚ÄĚ with its impressive glacier world. Observe the inhabitants of alpine meadows and pastures, including around 300 beetle and almost 200 large butterfly species. At the end awaits you a Kneipp facility and a water playground for the little ones.

GLOCKNER BUS - BUS TOUR

29th May to 29th September 2024 - Grossglockner high alpine road

The Grossglockner high alpine road is one of the most impressive and beautiful scenic roads in Europe. A special driving pleasure by car, motorbike or completely relaxed with the Glockner Bus into the incomparable world of experience in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The bus tour is accompanied by an experienced and knowledgeable National Park ranger.
