After the ascent in the hiking taxi, you will be accompanied by a hiking guide on a journey of discovery through the beauty of nature. During the guided hike you will learn interestings facts about the landscape and its minerals.

Homemade products such as farmhouse bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, hearty bacon and cheese specialities, honey, fresh fish and many other homemade delicacies from the region are on offer.

STEAM TRAIN

9th May to 26th September 2024

Enjoy a romantic ride through the beautiful Pinzgau countryside on the nostalgic steam trains of the Pinzgau Lokalbahn train. A special highlight for young and old is the "Bratwurst", grilled on the boilder of the steam locomotive!

Meet and join the people who protect our National Park. Learn more about the natural treasures of the National Park and how you can help preserve them for future generations.

NATURE TREASURE WIEGENWALD

11th July to 5th September 2024 - Stubachtal valley Uttendorf

Rustic, beautiful, and highly sensitive – The guided hike with a National Park ranger leads through the primeval Wiegenwald to the Schwarze Lacke. Along the way, you’ll learn a lot about the local flora and fauna. Picturesque moor ponds invite you to linger, while beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and their reflections line the path.

CASTLE SIGHTSEEING TOUR

1st July to 22nd September 2024 (except on 18.07.) - Kaprun

Walk through 600 years of eventful history. You can still feel the atmosphere of days gone by when you enter the venerable Kaprun Castle. It is like a journey back in time. Surrounded by centuries-old walls, you will get an idea of how the counts and lords of the castle spent their days.  

Get to know the historic castle at 5 pm and listen to the history of the castle. Then explore the castle itself. There are photo points, a small exhibition, the castle museum and the dungeon.
