SNOWSHOE HIKE PLETTSAUKOPF

26th December 2022 to 20th March 2023 - Schmittenhöhe Zell am See

From the cityXpress mountain station you will hike to Plettsaukopf reservoir. And afterwards, you’ll walk along the shore of the lake and discover the wintry Schmitten. On a clear day, the stunning scenic views of the neighbouring peaks around Lake Zell are bound to take your breath away. 

What are you waiting for? Put on your warm winter shoes, pack a warming drink in your rucksack, and off you go! Snowshoes and snow poles can be rented directly on site.

WINTER DREAM TANNWALD

26th December 2022 to 3rd April 2023 - Uttendorf

Mountain forests provide habitats for wildlife and plants, and recreational areas for people. They are an important climatic factor and play a crucial role in protecting against avalanches and debris flows. Discover the forest habitat with the National Park ranger.

Note: Snowshoes and ski poles can be rented from the NP Administration. If necessary, please let them know when you register.

IN THE WINTER REALM OF THE WATERFALLS

26th December 2022 to 3rd April 2023 - Krimml

The Krimml waterfalls are an impressive natural spectacle not only in summer. Due to their shady location, only a few rays of sunlight reach the waterfalls, creating beautiful ice formations at the right temperatures. 

Note: Snowshoes and ski poles can be rented from the NP Administration. If necessary, please let them know when you register.

WILDLIFE WATCHING AT THE FEEDING IN THE HABACHTAL VALLEY

2nd January to 27th February 2023 - Bramberg am Wildkogel

During the cold and snowy winter months, red deer and roe deer have a hard time finding enough food. On this excursion you will find out that feeding is not just feeding and that active wildlife management has many unexpected facets. This is and exciting experience for the whole family, as you get to see mighty stags and young calves up close, but still in the wild.
