CHILL & PAINT

every 2nd Tuesday in the month - Niedernsill

Dive into the colourful world of ceramics! In the relaxed setting of a traditional farm, you can paint your own ceramic pieces together with your loved ones - from playful patterns to personal designs. All you need is a bit of imagination - everything else is provided. A wonderful activity for all ages who enjoy creativity and a cosy atmosphere.

Immerse yourself in the magical world of the stone pine and craft your own piece of mountain enchantment. The stone pine, the queen of the mountains, not only enhances your well-being but also promotes better sleep. Sew your own cushion, fill it with sheep's wool and fragrant stone pine shavings.

SEEBACHSEE

Experience a guided hike with a National Park ranger! After a taxi ride to Berndlalm, follow the scenic trail through Poschalm and the diverse Munau wetlands, passing through tranquil mountain forests to the picturesque Seebachsee at 2,083 meters. Learn fascinating facts about the local flora and fauna while enjoying the breathtaking alpine landscape. The return route leads across lush meadows down to the forest road, where a taxi takes you back to the starting point. A perfect tour for nature lovers and explorers!

8th July to 2nd September 2025 - Rauris

Grossglockner panorama & hike to Seidlwinkltal! Start in Rauris by bus and join a National Park ranger on Austria's highest panorama road - a breathtaking view of the Grossglockner awaits! At Mittertörl, the hike begins, leading steadily downhill into the Seidlwinkltal valley. Passing the scenic Labböden and Litzlhofalm, you'll reach the historic Rauriser Tauernhaus in the early afternoon. A taxi takes you comfortably back. A stunning nature adenture!

MEET A RANGER

7th July to 5th September 2025 - National Park Valleys

From Monday to Friday, you can meet the rangers of Hohe Tauern National Park in their natural habitat - the stunning valleys of the Salzburg region. 

Here, you'll gain exclusive insights into the unique flora and fauna of the high Alps and learn why conservation is so important. The rangers will share their passion for nature, tell stories about their daily work, and explain how we can all help protect this extraordinary landscape for future generations. 

It's no surprise that rangers are the heart of the National Park - after all, they know this protected area like the back of their hand!

GLOCKNER BUS - BUS TOUR

27th May to 30th September 2025 - Grossglockner high alpine road

The Grossglockner high alpine road is one of the most impressive and beautiful scenic roads in Europe. A special driving pleasure by car, motorbike or completely relaxed with the Glockner Bus into the incomparable world of experience in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The bus tour is accompanied by an experienced and knowledgeable National Park ranger.

TRIP TO THE ARCTIC

8th July to 2nd September 2025 - Stubachtal valley Uttendorf/Weißsee

Embark on a mountain adventure with a National Park ranger at 2,311 meters. Learn about the adaptation strategies of animals and plants in the high mountains during the hike to “Eissee”, where you’ll see the foothills of the Sonnblick glacier. The return journey leads back to the Rudolfshütte, where a stop for refreshments awaits. Afterwards, you can either hike on foot through the impressive natural landscape to Enzingerboden or opt for a convenient ride with the cable car.

HOCHFELD MINE - A JOURNEY INTO THE PAST

7th July to 5th September 2025 - Untersulzbachtal valley Neukirchen

Hidden deep withing the Hohe Tauern, the Hochfel Show Mine is a true rarity. Since the 1990s, the former mine has been transformed into an interactive exhibition, offering exciting insights into alpine geology and the history of the National Park. 

During a guided tour, you'll learn how the Tauern Window was formed, how rock formations evolved over millions of years and the important role mining played in this region. A special highlight is the art exhibition "Innenleben" by Mag. art. Michael Alexander Seywald, currently on display in the mine's tunnels.
