A festival of tradition since 1989
Every two years, Piesendorf hosts the traditional Bartlmä-Festival.
Enjoy a diverse program featuring music groups, traditional dance music, wrestling, craft and vintage tractor demonstrations, and an exciting children's program. Of course, the event wouldn't be complete without delicious regional specialties from Pinzgau!

Saturday 22nd August 2026
3 pm - BARTLMÄ-WRESTLING (Ranggeln)
Club championship of the Rangglerverein Piesendorf. Showdown of the 4 strongest wrestlers from Piesendorf and Niedernsill. Bartlmä-Hagmoar title fight. In case of bad weather, the event will take place in the gym of the elementary school (Volksschule).
6 pm - FESTIVAL START
The long music night with: Jugendorchester MusikAnten, Oberkrainer Power, ...
Free Bartlmä shuttle service: Only available with Eurotaxi for Piesendorf, Niedernsill, and Kaprun from 12 am to 3 am. Pickup point: Tourist office Piesendorf.
Additional highlights: Various skill competitions with great prizes, a children's program, and much more!

11 am - FESTIVAL START
Festival parade with the Trachtenmusikkapelle Niedernsill and the arrival of vintage tractors
Traditional folk music performances: Trachtenmusikkapelle Niedernsill, Tanzlmusi 6er Gspon, Sorgenfrei, Pinzga Schwung, ...
Additional program highlights: Craft demonstrations and vintage tractor showcases, various skill competitions with exciting prizes, a fun children's program and much more!
On both days:
- CULINARY DELIGHTS: The Piesendorf clubs serve a variety of treats, from Pinzgauer specialties and grilled ox to coffee and cake.
- EXTENSIVE FREE CHILDREN'S PROGRAM: Enjoy carousel rides, pony riding (on Sunday only), crafting, face painting, and (on Sunday only) a bouncy castle!

- Saturday € 10.00 - also valid for Sunday | Advance tickets for € 8.00, available from 3rd August 2026 at the tourist office Piesendorf and Niedernsill (cash payment only)
- Sunday € 5.00
- Youth protection: ID required for individuals under 18! No alcohol will be served to anyone under 16.
- The organizer is NOT liable for accidents. The event adheres to the provisions of the Salzburg Youth Protection Act. Photos and videos will be taken at the venue for documentation and promotional purposes (print media, websites, and social media). Find more details here.
