A festival of tradition since 1989
Every two years, the Bartlmä Festival in Piesendorf brings together music, local traditions, crafts and food. The festival has been held since 1989
The two-day programme ranges from Bartlmä Ranggeln, a traditional form of wrestling, and tradtional folk music to craft demonstrations and vintage tractor displays. There is also a dedicated programme for children. Local associations from Piesendorf serve Pinzgau specialities and other food throughout the festival.

Saturday programme
3 pm - BARTLMÄ-RANGGELN (wrestling)
Club championship of the Piesendorf Rangglerverein, including a competition between four of the strongest wrestlers from Piesendorf and Niedernsill and the Bartlmä-Hagmoar competition.
In bad weather, the wrestling takes place in the gym at the primary school.
6 pm - FESTIVAL BEGINS
The long music night with: Various music groups and the 360° Disco provide entertainment.
Free Bartlmä shuttle service home: A free Bartlmä shuttle service home with Eurotaxi is available from midnight to 3 pm within the municipalities of Piesendorf, Niedernsill and Kaprun. Pick-up point: Piesendorf Tourist Office and car park east
Sunday programme
11 am - FESTIVAL BEGINS
Sunday starts with the festival parade and the arrival of the vintage tractors.
Various traditional music groups provide live folk music. The programme also includes craft demonstrations, vintage tractor displays, skill competitions with prizes and activities for children.
Food and children's programme on both days
- CULINARY DELIGHTS: Local Piesendorf associations serve a selection of food, ranging from Pinzgau specialities and ox from the grill to coffee and cake.
- EXTENSIVE FREE CHILDREN'S PROGRAM: Children can enjoy a free children's programme with a carousel, crafts and face painting. Pony rides and a bouncy castle are available on Sunday.
